WHIZ KIDS + UNPLUGGED

The Anthony Muñoz Foundation is entering it's 9th year as a site host for City Gospel Mission's Whiz Kids Program.

Whiz Kids
Anthony takes his mission to the classroom through the Whiz Kids tutoring program. Each week during the school year, Foundation staff and volunteer tutors provide Kindergarten through 6th grade students at Roberts Paideia Academy with one-on-one mentoring, math and reading instruction.

Unplugged
The Foundation also started Unplugged, an extension program created for students who have aged out of the Whiz Kids curriculum. Aligning with Cincinnati Public School initiatives, AMF works with these students weekly on Social and Emotional Learning Activities, high school preparation, career exploration and academic assistance.

Volunteers Needed!
The Anthony Muñoz Foundation is currently seeking volunteers to be tutors for our Whiz Kids Program. Tutors must be 16 years old or older, but do not need prior tutoring experience. All tutoring materials will be provided each week.

The program comes to Roberts Paideia Academy once a week on Wednesdays from 4:00pm - 5:20pm. A typical day includes a snack, one hour of tutoring time, and a 20 minute group activity.

Tutors receive training, onsite or online.

Interested tutors can
register beginning August 7th. For further information or questions please contact Cristen Johnson at cjohnson@munozfoundation.org
