The 2020 Youth Leadership Seminar is going virtual! Three different, video-based leadership sessions focusing on three different topics will be provided to participants. Within each session, there will be local leaders giving talks pertaining to the session’s topic.

Sessions will be “released” to participants via an exclusive event link. These pages will house the three talks with corresponding conversation starters to help facilitate discussion between students. Registered schools/contacts will be sent reminders and priority information before the session is released so you can plan your lessons and agendas accordingly.

Additionally, there will be a registration button for the Rise Chats on each session’s page. Through these live chats, you will be able to engage in discussion with the seminar’s other participants. There will be a predetermined date and time for these sessions and a member of AMF will act as the host of the session.

Session 1 - Leaders RISE

Leadership isn’t something that develops overnight. In this session, participants will learn how to rise above challenges, redefine how they view success and failure, and discuss important practical skills they must possess to be positive leaders.

Session 2 - Human KIND

Leaders encompass more than just practical skills. In this session, you will discuss the importance of empathy and learn about the value of giving back to others and your community to create long-lasting impact. Leaders are change-makers and empower others to be change-makers as well.

Session 3 - Me + SELF

Leaders realize the importance of empowering others, but also personal development. In this session, you will learn about mental health and coping skills, as well as discuss personal growth and challenges in the time of COVID-19.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Teachers, coaches, or administrators from Tri-State high schools in our impact area can register for this event.

Schools can register multiple times through different teachers and can register for all three sessions or select sessions. AMF understands that teachers and schools are very busy right now, so we will just need general info (ie. teacher/contact name, school, phone number, etc.). There is no penalty if you register for a session but are unable to attend it on its date.

Schools will also need to register for the Rise Chats prior to the date of the chat. Once registered, you will receive information about it so you know how the live session will be run and what will be discussed.

Registration opens on September 16th and will be available through Friday, October 9th.*
*AMF prefers that you register by this date, but it is flexible.

We can’t wait to have over 50 schools’ rising leaders join us for the 2020 Youth Leadership Seminar!
